San Antonio, TX - The Texas Winter League and the San Antonio Missions have renewed their partnership that that will bring the TWL back to San Antonio for the 2015 season.

The partnership will see the Texas Winter League utilize the first class community complex, the Missions Baseball Academy, and play about 20 games, including playoffs and the championship game, at Nelson Wolff Stadium, home of the San Antonio Missions.

Last season's TWL (2014), played in San Antonio, saw over 100 players travel from 26 states and 3 different countries for the chance to earn a pro contract. In all, 62 players were signed to contracts in various leagues such as the American Association, Frontier League, and United League.

Instructors for the 2015 TWL will include Chris Paterson (MIA Scout, Sioux Falls Canaries), Chris Carminucci (AZ), Brooks Carey (Normal Corn Belters), Greg Tagert (Gary Railcats), Carlos Lezcano (Joplin Blasters), Les Lancaster (Phillies (A) Pitching Coach), Ozzie Canseco (Pericos de Puebla), Mike Pinto (Southern Illinois Miners), and Brent Metheny.

"We are very excited to be hosting the Texas Winter League again and showcasing our Missions Baseball Academy, as well as giving young players a chance to achieve a lifelong dream of signing a professional baseball contract," said San Antonio Missions' President Burl Yarbrough.
