Logan Flodell Returns to T-Birds

Seattle Thunderbirds News Release
KENT, January 26, 2015 - Seattle Thunderbirds general manager Russ Farwell today announced goalie Logan Flodell has joined the T-Birds for the remainder of the season.
Flodell was playing for the Nipawin Hawks in the Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League. In 13 games with the Hawks Flodell had an 8-4-0 record with a .901 save percentage and a 2.44 goals against average. Last week he was named the SJHL Rookie of the Week after leading the Hawks to two wins by stopping 52 of 55 shots he faced.
Goalie Danny Mumaugh has elected to end his hockey career. In three seasons with the T-Birds Mumaugh had an 18-21-4-4 record with one shutout. He has a career goals against average of 3.76 and a career save percentage of .887.
"Danny came to us recently and told us he did not have the drive to keep playing. To have a player quit this soon after the deadline could have left us in a real bind. We are fortunate that Logan is able to join us. We appreciate the Nipawin Hawks working with us to allow Logan to join the team for the remainder of the season," said Farwell.
Flodell played one game with the T-Birds this year. He made 37 saves on 40 shots in a 3-1 loss to the Prince George Cougars on October 17. Flodell was originally assigned to the Hawks on November 1.
The T-Birds travel to Kamloops to play the Blazers on Wednesday at 7pm. They then have back-to-back games in Prince George against the Cougars on Friday, January 30 and Saturday, January 31. Both games in Prince George start at 7pm. The next home game is Friday, February 6, against the Portland Winterhawks at ShoWare Center at 7:35pm.
T-Birds single game tickets for the 2014-15 season are available online at the T-Birds website and at the ShoWare Center box office. The ShoWare Center Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday game days at 10 a.m. and Sunday game days at noon.
