Ann Arbor, MI - Bloomington is back for another battle with the United States National Team Development Program Under 17's 3:30 pm EST Sunday at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube. The Thunder came away with a 3-2 win over Team USA Saturday evening to make the season series 2-0-1. The Thunder sit in sixth in the United States Hockey League's Eastern Conference with a record of 14-16-6, good for 34 points.

Bloomington and USA faced off last night for the third time this season and the second meeting with the U'17's in 2014-15. Trailing in the game, Bloomington tallied two unanswered in the second and third period to eventually take the win. Forward Matt Mendelson (Penn State University) tied the game and Max Gottlieb (Brown University) would grab the game winner. Goaltender Hayden Lavigne (University of Michigan) earned the win in back to back starts for Bloomington with 16 saves. With the Thunder, Lavigne is 3-1-0 with a 2.03 GAA and a .919 SVPT. Team USA still has games in hand but ranks ninth in the USHL's Eastern Conference with a 13-18-0 record and 26 points

The Sunday matinee is the final game of back-to-back three-in-three weekends for the Thunder. Their road stand continues next week in Fargo before heading to Des Moines and Lincoln to open the month of February.
