Soo Eagles on the Road against Michigan Warriors

The Soo Eagles are on the road again, this Friday night, when they travel to Flint, to take on the Michigan Warriors at 7:00 p.m.

The Eagles are led in scoring by Sandis Zolmanis, who has 10 goals and 25 assists this season. Trevor Cope has 14 goals and 19 assists, while Keegan Miller is (14-19- 33).

The Warriors are led in scoring by Tyler Groat, who has 14 goals and 14 assists this season. Mitch Wedding has five goals and 16 assists on the season, while Colin Horton is (7-13- 20).

Jack Berry is 10-8-0-1 on the season for the Soo Eagles, with a goals against average of 3.11 and a save percentage of .902. Sean Keating is 10-10-0-0, with a GAA of 3.19 and a SV% of .902.

Ryan Wischow is 7-8-1-1 on the season for the Michigan Warriors, with a goals against average of 2.19 and a save percentage of .935. Chase Munroe is 0-1-0-0, with a GAA of 6.14 and a SV% of .837.

The Eagles and Warriors have met seven times this season, with the Eagles winning six of those contests. The last four games have gone to overtime, with three of those ending up in a shootout, all won by the Eagles. These teams will meet four more times this season, all in Sault Ste. Marie, on Feb 20-21 and March 27-28.

The Eagles are tied for second place in the North Divison, with the Keystone Ice Miners, who both have 41 points. Michigan is in sixth place, but only two points out of fourth place, and a playoff spot.

In other North Division action this week, Keystone travels to Springfield, for a weekend set against the Jr. Blues, while Johnstown visits first-place Janesville, for a pair of games.

The Eagles will return home next weekend, as they face Janesville for a pair of games at Pullar Stadium on Blood Drive Weekend.
