Austin Aztex Announce Preseason Schedule

AUSTIN, Texas (Thursday, January 22, 2015) - The Austin Aztex announced their 2015 preseason schedule beginning mid-February when they host Major League Soccer's four-time champion D.C United in the ATX Pro Challenge. The tournament will feature a four-team single-elimination format which will pitch the Austin Aztex against three MLS teams including D.C. United, FC Dallas and Columbus Crew SC.
The event will take place from Friday, Feb. 13 through Sunday, Feb, 15 at UT's Mike A. Myers Stadium. Tickets for the ATX Pro Challenge are currently available, for more information on the tournament, visit http://austinaztex.com/atxprochallenge/.
Continuing their preseason slate against top-caliber teams, the Aztex are scheduled to travel to Houston to face the Houston Dynamo. The game will be held at Houston Sports Park, the Dynamo's training facility, on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
The Aztex squad will return to Austin to host a series of preseason games versus college squads, starting with Southern Methodist University on Saturday, Feb. 21st and followed by University of Incarnate Word on Saturday, Feb. 28th. These games will be followed by a Saturday, March 7th doubleheader which will include contests versus Southwestern University and St. Edward's University. All games versus collegiate squads will be held at Kelly Reeves Athletic Complex and will be free to the public.
