Monarchs Release Hughesman, Miller from PTO

MANCHESTER, NH - The Manchester Monarchs, primary affiliate of the Los Angeles Kings, have released forwards Adam Hughesman and Kenton Miller from their professional try out agreements (PTO). Both players were signed by the Monarchs on Jan. 12.

Monarchs Director of Hockey Operations Hubie McDonough made the announcements.

Hughesman scored the first goal of his AHL career on Jan. 16 at Worcester, his only point in three games with the Monarchs. The 23-year-old has appeared in 35 games this season for the Reading Royals of the ECHL, recording 31 points (12 goals, 19 assists).

Miller, 23, skated in four games with Manchester and picked up his first AHL goal on Jan. 18 against the Sharks. He has 10 goals and 18 assists in 36 games this season for the Wichita Thunder of the ECHL.

The Monarchs will play their final game before the AHL All-Star break on Friday at 7:05 at Providence. The team returns to the Verizon Wireless Arena on Jan. 30 when they host Portland in the latest rendition of the VIP Cup Series at 7 p.m.
