Miller Returns from Manchester

Wichita, KS (Jan. 21st) - The Wichita Thunder, proud member of the ECHL and powered by Toyota, announced this evening that forward Kenton Miller has been released from his PTO and sent back to Wichita from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Miller, 23, appeared in four games for the Monarchs. He recorded his first American Hockey League (AHL) goal against Worcester on the 18th that helped Manchester pull within one early in the third period. The Redvers, Saskatchewan native has 28 points (10g, 18a) in 30 games so far this year after recording 20 points (6g, 14a) in 55 games for the Fort Wayne Komets in 2013-14. The 6-foot, 196-pound forward began the season in camp with the Monarchs before being sent back down. He was acquired on October 14th from the Indy Fuel for future considerations. Miller, in his third season as a pro, had a solid junior career, piling up 117 points (60g, 57a) in 242 contests between Spokane, Calgary and Moose Jaw of the WHL from 2008-12.

Wichita continues on its five-game road swing with two contests in the Black Hills this Friday and Saturday night against Rapid City.
