Marody & Peters Listed on NHL Central Scouting Midterm Rankings

Sioux Falls, SD-NHL Central Scouting released their "Midterm Rankings" of players eligible for the 2015 NHL Draft on Tuesday and among them are Stampede forwards Cooper Marody and Collin Peters. In all, 44 players from the USHL are listed in the rankings.
The Midterm Rankings include players from all leagues and levels across North American and are a numerical ranking based on evaluations by NHL Central Scouting.
Marody is ranked 63rd overall and considered a late second round/early third round draft pick. The Brighton, MI native leads the Stampede in scoring with 29 points (11g, 18a) in 28 games. He was acquired by the Stampede in December and has tallied 20 points (9g, 11a) along with a plus-5 rating in just 14 games as a member of the Herd. He has at least a point in three straight games and seven of his last eight games overall. He has already committed to played collegiate hockey at the University of Michigan.
Peters is ranked 128th overall and is considered a 5th round draft pick at this point of the season. Peters was acquired from the Muskegon Lumberjacks earlier this month and appeared in his first two games as a member of the Stampede over the weekend. Prior to joining the Herd, Peters was skating with Sheboygan High School in Sheboygan, WI where he tallied 45 points (34g, 11a) in just 14 games played. The 17-year-old has already committed to playing college hockey at Northern Michigan University when his USHL playing days are done.

Marody, Peters and the Stampede return to action this Friday when they host the Lincoln Stars at the PREMIER Center at 7:05 PM.
