Phantoms to Crowd the Covelli

YOUNGSTOWN, OH- On Saturday, January 31st against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders, the Phantoms will be crowding the Covelli Centre, as Eastwood Mall presents "Crowd the Covelli" to benefit Akron Children's Hospital of Mahoning Valley (ACHMV). A portion of ticket sales along with the 50/50 ticket raffle will be donated to ACHMV, along with proceeds from the auction of special jerseys that the team will be wearing. Dollars raised from this event will benefit the children helped by the local programs and services of Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley.

"Everyone knows child with an on-going medical need, or who has a medical emergency, and Akron Children's is the leading provider of medical care for children in the area," said Phantoms co-owner Troy Loney. "We appreciate the value that Akron Children's Hospital Mahoning Valley brings to the community, and we're humbled that we can help children in need with this wonderful event."

The jerseys that the team will be wearing that night were specially designed by ACHMV, and were selected out of four finalists through fan voting. Jerseys will be auctioned off prior to, during, and following the game via a live jersey auction. They are currently available for bid on www.youngstownphantoms.com.

Akron Children's Hospital of Mahoning Valley brings high-quality care to infants, children, teens, burn victims of all ages, and adults with congenital, genetic, and maternal/fetal conditions. They have been recognized as a Best Children's Hospital by U.S. News & World Report, and have earned Magnet Recognition Status for nursing excellence from the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
