Calgary, AB - The Calgary Hitmen Hockey Club is pleased to announce rookie left winger Pavel Karnaukhov (KAR-nuh-kov) has cracked the midterm rankings of the top North American players available for the 2015 NHL draft.
The list is compiled by NHL Central Scouting Service and splits prospects into both North American and International categories.
Karnaukhov is ranked at number 140 on the North American skaters list.
The import forward is tied for second among all WHL rookies with 16 goals while his seven powerplay goals share the lead among first-year players. His 28 points is currently sixth among rookies.
The 2015 NHL Draft will be held at BT&T Center in Sunrise, Florida on June 26-27.
Karnaukhov and the Hitmen are preparing for a busy weekend. On Friday they'll host the Swift Current Broncos in a 7:00 p.m. start at Scotiabank Saddledome. The team then heads to Edmonton to face the Oil Kings on Saturday before returning home to host the Vancouver Giants on Sunday in a 4:00 p.m. puck drop.
