Kansas City Royals Winter Caravan Visits Northwest Arkansas

SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Louis Coleman, a member of the 2010 Northwest Arkansas Naturals and Texas League Champions, will join former 2011-2012 Natural and member of the 2014 American League Champion Kansas City Royals, Christian Colon, at the Kansas City Royals Winter Caravan on Thursday, January 29 from Academy Sports + Outdoors in Fayetteville.
The participants will be available for a meet and greet with the fans, as well as autograph opportunities on a first-come-first-served basis from 11:30am-12:30pm. Kansas City Royals Hall of Famer John Mayberry, Royals Broadcaster Steve Physioc, and KayCee, the team's official historian, are also expected to be in attendance, along with the ALCS Trophy.
Colon, who made his MLB debut in 2014, made the Royals 25-man roster for the first three rounds of the 2014 playoffs during their run to the World Series, as well as scoring the winning run in the American League Wild Card Game against the Oakland Athletics. Colon had his best season with the Naturals in 2011 when he hit 8 home runs with 17 stolen bases and 61 RBI and 127 games. He most recently played two games with the Naturals in 2014.
Coleman has played parts of four seasons with the Royals since debuting in 2011. He had a 2.09 ERA in 51.2 innings pitched to go with 6 saves and a 2-1 record with the Naturals in the beginning of 2010 before earning a promotion to Triple-A Omaha. This season marks the five year anniversary of the Naturals' 2010 Texas League Championship run.

Season 8 of Naturals baseball begins on Thursday, April 9, 2015 in Midland, Texas. The Naturals will open at Arvest Ballpark on Thursday, April 16 at 6:05 P.M. against the same Midland RockHounds, the Double-A Affiliate of the Oakland Athletics.
