PGCBL Announces New Team in Victor
January 18, 2015 - Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League (PGCBL) News Release
The Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League is pleased to announce that the league has added a club in Victor, New York, effective immediately.
The to be named club, will initially play at the Victor Central School District High School prior to the completed Pinnacle Athletic Campus in 2016. The team is owned by Pinnacle Athletic Campus, LLC.
"We are so very excited about adding the Pinnacle brand to our roster of teams," said PGCBL President Jeff Kunion. "Jim Ludwig has been involved in Victor area youth baseball for many, many years and his commitment to the community is exemplified by the multiple improvements and upgrades he and his team are making to the Victor HS field."
The Pinnacle Athletic Campus, where the team will play following its completion, will feature an indoor sportsplex with a three full baseball/softball fields, six youth soccer/lacrosse fields and a 1,600-foot walking course. The outdoor complex will feature four full baseball fields, where the team will play, as well as soccer/lacrosse fields
"We have been working towards fielding a PGCBL team in Victor for several years," said co-owner Jim Ludwig. "My son played in the PGCBL and I witnessed first hand the high quality of competition and the devoted ownership and management in the league."
Josh Ludwig played the 2013 season with the Newark Pilots, playing in 38 games and hitting .281 in the process.
The Victor club will compete in the West Division and are the second new team for the 2015 season, joining the Saugerties Stallions, who will compete in the East Division.
The PGCBL is affiliated with Perfect Game, the largest independent scouting service in the country. This year more than 1,400 professional players will have worn the uniform or participated in a Perfect Game event.
