Halifax Bounces Back with Victory in Moncton

The Halifax Rainmen rebounded Friday night with a 100-93 victory over the Moncton Miracles. The win moves Halifax to 9-10 on the season.

Halifax came out of the gate strong, holding an eight point lead over Moncton for the majority of the first quarter, however the Miracles clawed back and closed the gap, trailing 34-33 at the end of 12 minutes. The second quarter remained close, with Halifax pulling away slightly to end the half, 57-51. In the third quarter Halifax's offense came out hot, opening up a 11 point lead allowing the Rainmen to take an 80-69 advantage into the fourth. Moncton did their best to fight back, closing within four points midway through the quarter, however Halifax would not be denied a victory and the Rainmen pulled away with time winding down.

Chris Cayole led all Rainmen with 31 points. Emmanuel Jones had 17 points and pulled down 6 rebounds for the Rainmen. Tim Parham pulled down an impressive 17 rebounds to lead all Halifax players. The Miracles were led by Stanley Robinson who had 16 points and 8 rebounds. Dwayne Smith had 9 rebounds to lead all Moncton players.
