Eskimos Trade Stamps for Stafford

(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimos have acquired international wide receiver Kenny Stafford from the Montreal Alouettes in exchange for international slotback Fred Stamps.
A two-year CFL veteran, Stafford recorded 26 catches for 267 yards and one touchdown in 13 games. The six-foot-three, 204-pound native of Columbus, OH, also recorded four carries for 26 yards. Stafford spent time with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons in 2012 and the Miami Dolphins in 2013.
Stamps originally signed as a free agent on Dec. 10, 2006. In eight seasons, he recorded 496 receptions for 7,932 yards and 49 touchdowns.
"Fred's on-field accomplishments are well documented. We thank him for his contributions to the organization and wish him the best," says Eskimo General Manager Ed Hervey. "We welcome Kenny Stafford to the Eskimo family and look forward to watching him compete."
