The Islanders open their 3 games in 3 nights Quebec road trip against the Sherbrooke Phoenix. The Phoenix took the first contest with the Islanders by a score of 3-2 at the Eastlink Centre in November. The Isles will be looking to get back in the win column after 2 shootout losses last weekend on home ice. The Phoenix are led by the top scoring defensemen in the QMJHL, and one of the top prospects for the 2015 NHL draft in Jeremy Roy (5 goals, 33 assists, for 38 points in 37 games). The Phoenix come into the weekend with the 7th best power play in the league at 22.5%, while their penalty kill sits 7th in the league at 79.5%. The Islanders currently hold down the 11th best power play in the league at 21.1% and the 6th best penalty kill at 79.8%

The Islanders took the home half of the season series with the Victoriaville Tigres back in November with a hard fought 2-1 win at the Eastlink Centre. The Tigres are led offensively by overage forward Angelo Miceli (24 goals, 41 assists, for 63 points in 43 games) who sits 2nd in overall league scoring, as well as forward and 6th round St. Louis Blues draft pick Samuel Blais (19 goals, 28 assists, for 47 points in 40 games). Victoriaville currently holds down the 8th best power play at 21.7% as well as the 4th best penalty kill at 81.0%.

The Remparts took the first matchup of the season from the Islanders on Hockey Day on PEI in October by a score or 3-1. The Remparts are hosting the Memorial Cup this season and recently have boosted their lineup with the additions of Anthony Duclair (NY Rangers), Zack Fucale (Halfax), Matt Murphy (Halifax), Vladimir Tkachev (Moncton), Jerome Verrier (Drummondville), and Brian Lovell (Chicoutimi). Quebec comes into the weekend with the 5th best power play at 23.4% as well as the 12th best penalty kill in the league at 76.6%.
