Johnny TinCap to Help Plant Seeds of Love for Valentine's

January 15, 2015 - Midwest League (MWL1)
Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Johnny may wear a tin cap, but don't confuse him with the Tin Man. On the contrary, Johnny's always had a big heart. Never is that more evident than around Valentine's Day. And this year is no exception.

On Thursday, Feb. 12 and Friday, Feb. 13, Johnny TinCap will be on the go around the Fort Wayne area planting seeds. Not for apple trees, but for love.

Yes, Johnny will be delivering flower bouquets, colorful balloons, a scrumptious TinCaps-decorated cookie cake, and even two tickets to Opening Day 2015 at Parkview Field! The $99 package also includes having the special delivery moment photographed and videoed.

To order Johnny's "Apple of My Eye" Valentine's Day package, or find out more information, call TinCaps Community Engagement and Promotions Manager Tara Cahill at 260-482-6400 or email her at cahill@tincaps.com. Orders will be taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and must be submitted by Friday, Feb. 6. (Please note that in prior years, Johnny has been completely booked before the deadline.)

Rest assured that although Johnny is an incredibly desirable companion, he will not steal your significant other away. All of his hugs are platonic.

The TinCaps open their seventh season at Parkview Field on Sunday, April 12, at 4:05 p.m. against the Lansing Lugnuts. Season-ticket packages are on sale now, while single-game tickets will be available in early February. For more information, go to TinCaps.com, call 260-482-6400, or visit the Parkview Field Ticket Office.
