Firing on all cylinders:
The offense has been well rounded scoring 210 points in 10 games this season. Lucas Roque leads the team with 20 points, 16 being from goals scored. Tony Donatelli has recorded 9 assists and 7 goals for 16 points so far this season. Baltimore is far from being one sided as the defense has played just as well as the offense. Pat Healey leads the league with 29 blocks and Baltimore leads the league in average goals allowed per game (2.6). In net for the Blast, William Vanzela has recorded 2 shutouts this season and leads the MASL in GAA (2.44) and save percentage (.825).
Team Depth:
In addition to the returning players, the Blast roster also includes eight newcomers. Offensively the Blast really show their team depth with 16 players who have recorded 2 or more points this season. During the 10 game winning streak to start the season the Blast have been able to average 9.1 goals per game.
The Competition: Milwaukee Wave
The Milwaukee Wave enter this weekend's game at 8-5 after an impressive 8-5 win against the Chicago Mustangs. Luan Sales Oliveira leads the Wave with 22 points on 12 goals. Ian Bennett has a team leading 18 goals on the season while forward JC Banks has 13 for the Wave offense. Goalkeeper Nick Vorberg ranks third in the league is GAA and at 4.50. The Wave are coached by Giuliano Oliviero.
The Competition: Detroit Waza Flo
The Detroit Waza Flo enter this weekend's game at 3-9 after losing their 5 game in a row to Rochester 25-13. Miki Djerisilo leads the Waza Flo with 20 points on 13 goals and 7 assists. Costea Decu has recorded 15 points this season while defender Salvatore Fiore has contributed 11 blocks. Goalkeeper Vito Lonigro enters with a .758 save percentage. The Waza Flo are coached by Dominic Scicluna.
