ORLANDO - January 14, 2015 - Orlando City Soccer Club announced today that the Club has traded Forward Jairo Arrieta to DC United for an additional international roster spot. Per Club and league rules, additional terms were not disclosed.

The trade with DC United provides Orlando City with 11 Major League Soccer (MLS) international roster spots. MLS teams are permitted eight international spots but are able to trade with other teams in the league for additional slots.

"The additional international spot gives us some increased flexibility to finalize the squad heading into our inaugural 2015 campaign," said Orlando City Head Coach Adrian Heath.

Arrieta was originally drafted sixth overall by Orlando on December 10, 2014, in the Major League Soccer (MLS) Expansion Draft from Columbus Crew SC.
