OMAHA, Neb. - The Sarpy County Board of Commissioners voted today to approve the purchase and installation of an LED video display for Werner Park at the Sarpy County Board meeting.

"I'd like to thank the Sarpy County Commissioners for their continued support of Werner Park. As we prepare to bring in out-of-town visitors this summer for the First National Bank 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game and our 72 regular season games the video board will add greatly to the fan experience," said Gary Green, Omaha Storm Chasers Owner. "We're very happy to partner with Sarpy County for this new amenity."

The new LED video display produced by Daktronics will make Werner Park one of the most state-of-the-art displays in Minor League Baseball. Comparable to video displays found in Major League ballparks, the Storm Chasers will invest to upgrade cameras and other equipment to maximize the display quality.

"Fan experience is crucial to the Storm Chasers success. This improvement will continue Werner Park's reputation as a premier venue and destination for national events like the First National Bank 2015 Triple-A All-Star Game," said Martie Cordaro, President and General Manager of the Omaha Storm Chasers. "It reflects the Major League talent we have seen on the field, the standards of the Omaha Metro and its attraction of major sporting events and the increasing visibility of Minor League Baseball."
