Hartford Wolf Pack News Release

The Wolf Pack (20-12-3-2, 45 pts.) gave their fans some extra entertainment this past week with three overtime games, winning two of the three to reach a high-water mark for the season of eight games above .500. Dylan McIlrath's first career pro overtime goal gave the Pack a 3-2 win over the Syracuse Crunch Friday night at the XL Center, and Marek Hrivik scored his first OT goal as a pro Saturday night in Springfield, as the Wolf Pack notched their first win in three tries against the Falcons, 4-3. That triumph was Ken Gernander's 300th AHL coaching win, making him one of only three individuals in league history (Bruce Boudreau and Frank Mathers are the others) to amass 300 coaching victories and at least 300 points as a player. The third time to OT was not a charm on Sunday, though, as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers handed the Wolf Pack a 4-3 home defeat, despite Chris Bourque's goal and an assist. With the 2-0-1-0 performance on the week, the Pack now have at least a standings point in 12 of their last 15 games (9-3-1-2).
