LOWELL, MASS. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, announced a number of new guests slated to attend Saturday's Hot Stove Dinner, featuring keynote speaker Trot Nixon, to benefit Lowell Spinners Charities.

The new guests include a number of local players, including San Francisco Giants 2014 No. 1 Draft Pick Tyler Beede (Auburn, Mass.).

Joining Beede in attending the event are Andrew Chin (New York Yankees; Newton, Mass.), Aaron Barbosa (Seattle Mariners; Dracut), Ryan O'Rourke (Minnesota Twins; Worcester), Scott Oberg (Colorado Rockies; Tewksbury), Alex Powers (Chicago White Sox; Brewster, Mass.), Riley Palmer (Baltimore Orioles; Manchester, NH) and Dennis Torres (Orioles; Lawrence).

"We are honored to have so many local prospects attending this year's event," said Spinners President and General Manager Tim Bawmann. "The New England region doesn't get nearly the credit it deserves for having such a strong glut of talent and these players showcase just how much talent there is."

The local players join 2004 Red Sox World Series Champion Nixon and Dick Berardino Alumni of the Year Adam Everett on the guest list, as well as Peter Gammons Media Award Winner David Willis of the Eagle-Tribune.

The dinner is the team's annual fundraiser for Lowell Spinners Charities, which operates as a 501c3 charity under the New York-Penn League Charitable Fund. The event, which is being held at the UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, begins with a meet & greet with the guests at 5:30 before heading into dinner and the awards presentation. There will be a silent auction and a number of raffle items thanks to generous community partners.

A limited number of tickets for the dinner remain available at both www.LowellSpinners.com and by phone at (978) 459-2255.
