Impact Fall Short against Surge, 10-7

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Sacramento Surge post their third win of the season against Seattle Impact- Matt Germain tossed up five of the Surges goals in front of 435 attendees in the 10-7 win at McClellan Park on Saturday night.

The Surge capitalized first with goals from Alex Paz and Selvin Bonilla and two goals from Matt Germain, Impacts Josh Beard scored a lone goal, finishing the first quarter 4-1.

The second quarter remained low-scoring with Germain racking up two more goals for the Surge, while Impacts Gordy Gurson contributed one goal to the half time score of 6-2.

The third quarter marked lucrative from both teams- Sacramento and Seattle each posted three goals. Sacramento's Nornan Levesque put up two goals, while Andrew Alcocer added one. Seattle's Julian Myers, Jakub Gurgul and Seth Arriaga each added to the scoreboard with one goal each, ending the third 9-5.

In the final quarter Germain scored the final goal of the game for the Surge and despite Seattle putting up two more goals, the Impact ultimately fell short, 10-7.

The Surge gain momentum in the Pacific Division obtaining a record of 3-9, as they go on the road to take on the Las Vegas Legends on Friday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Orleans Arena.
