Oklahoma City Barons News Release

HAMILTON, Ontario - Richard Bachman recorded his second shutout in as many days as the Oklahoma City Barons defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 3-0 Sunday at FirstOntario Centre.

Bachman stopped 26 shots for his third shutout of the season and has won four straight decisions dating back to Dec. 16.

The win set a Barons franchise record for consecutive road wins with six.

Jason Williams started the scoring for Oklahoma City at 4:14 of the first period when he took a pass from Curtis Hamilton in the Bulldogs slot and maneuvered around a defending Bryan Allen before sending a backhand shot past Hamilton goalie Joey MacDonald.

Iiro Pakarinen gave the Barons a 2-0 lead at 15:33 of the first period when he tipped a shot from just beyond the left circle by Andrew Miller through MacDonald's blocker side.

After more than 43 minutes of scoreless play, Miller added an empty-net goal at 19:03 of the third period to give the Barons a 3-0 lead.

Sunday's win marked the Barons' third consecutive win in three cities over the last three days.

The Barons are back in action Friday, Jan. 16, when they begin a three-game weekend homestand with a 7 p.m. start against the Texas Stars at the Cox Convention Center.
