Knighthawks Fall to Black Wolves

The Rochester Knighthawks dropped their first road game of the season, losing 17-7 to the New England Black Wolves at Mohegan Sun Arena. The game was the first of three meetings between the East Division foes.
Rochester (0-2) was led offensively by a five-point night from Cory Vitarelli (3+2), and two-point efforts from Jordan Hall (2+1) and Cody Jamieson (0-3). Dan Dawson also notched two assists in his 199th straight NLL game.
Several Knighthawks also reached milestones. Craig Point, who scored once and added one assist, eclipsed the 200-point plateau as a Knighthawk tonight. Dylan Evans also moved past Tim Soudan (316) and into fourth place on the team's all-time faceoff wins list.
New England (2-0) was led by a 10-point effort from Kevin Crowley (6+4) and a 34-save night from Evan Kirk. The game from Uncasville, Conn. is the only road contest of the month for Rochester who returns home for two more divisional games in two weeks to end the opening month of the season.
After this weekend's game, Rochester will be back home at Connors & Ferris Field at The Blue Cross Arena on Saturday, January 24th in a rematch against the Toronto Rock. Fans can purchase tickets by calling the Knighthawks front office at (585) 454-4295.
