January 6, 2015 - West Coast League (WCL)
Medford Rogues News Release

MEDFORD, OR - The Medford Rogues today announced the release of the team's 2015 schedule, including 54 West Coast League games and six non-league contests.

The 2015 season begins at Harry & David Field on Friday, May 29 with the first game of a three-game series hosting the Seattle Cheney Studs in non-league action. The WCL season begins June 5 in Walla Walla with a three-game set against the Sweets before the Rogues return home June 8 for the first of three hosting the Klamath Falls Gems.

The longest road trip of the season, 10 games, starts June 12 as the Rogues travel to Kelowna, Wenatchee and Kitsap in the team's swing to the north. The schedule then settles down with no road trip longer than three games for the rest of the 2015 season. The regular season ends Sunday, August 9 in Corvallis, and playoffs will follow on Tuesday, August 11. The WCL All-Star Game is scheduled for July 20 in Bellingham, Washington.

"We're happy to have the schedule done so we can accommodate our other venue partners including the Medford Mustangs," Rogues General Manager Chuck Heeman said. "We've got a pretty heavy road schedule early but that gives us a lot more home games later in the season while we're making a push for the playoffs. We like that we're getting that big road trip out of the way early and have very short road trips for pretty much the rest of the year. We'll now get to work on plugging in promotional and special nights, our fundraising nights and other ways to provide affordable family fun to the Rogue Valley."

Beyond the opening series hosting Seattle, the Rogues will play a home-and-home series against Klamath Falls (at Medford June 4 and at the Gems on June 25), and host Top Speed Academy on June 22-23.

The West Coast League is a 12-team collegiate wood-bat baseball league composed of the best college players, coaches, facilities and operators in the industry. Ranging from Medford, Oregon north to Kelowna, B.C., the league has operated as the WCL since 2005. In June, 56 WCL players were selected in the Major League draft.
