Anton Lander & Brad Hunt Named to AHL Western Conference All Star

Oklahoma City - Oklahoma City Barons centerman Anton Lander and defenseman Brad Hunt were both named to the American Hockey League's Western Conference All Star team, the AHL front office announced today.

Lander, a 6-0, 186-pound center, from Sundsvall, Sweden, has appeared in 29 games with the Barons this season, scoring 31 points (9-22-31). His 22 assists leads the team, while his 31 points ties him for the team lead and is good for a tie for eighth in the AHL. Lander has appeared in 136 games with the Barons, registering 108 points (37-71-108). The Oilers second round choice (40th overall) in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft has appeared in 97 games with Edmonton, registering nine points (2-7-9).

Hunt, a 5-9, 187-pound defenseman from Ridge Meadows, B.C., has appeared in 20 games with the Barons this season, notching 22 points (7-15-22). His 22 points is good for fifth in the AHL among rearguards. In 86 games with the Barons, he has scored 72 points (18-54-72). Hunt was named a second team AHL All Star last season after he registered 50 points (11-39-50), good for fifth in the league. Hunt began the 2014-15 season with Edmonton. He's appeared in 11 games with the Oilers this season, scoring three points (1-2-3).

The 2015 AHL All Star Classic presented by Turning Point Resort and Casino is January 25 - 26 in Utica, New York. The 2015 AHL All Star Classic pits the top players from the Western Conference against the top players from the Eastern Conference. The two-day event also features a skills competition and induction ceremony into the AHL Hall of Fame.
