Screaming Eagles Close Trade Period with Two Final Moves

Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles concluded a busy trade period by acquiring forward Colin MacSween (1996-01-07) and a third round pick in 2016 from Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in exchange for prospect Pascal Corbeil (1998-01-21). Additionally, the Screaming Eagles traded forward Tim Simard (1996-09-27) to Chicoutimi for a third round pick in 2016.

MacSween, 18, was drafted by the Armada in the eighth round of the 2013 QMJHL Entry Draft. In 30 career games, the 6'00"ft, 190lbs, native of Fredericton, NB, has recorded 2 points and 28 Penalty Minutes.

Corbeil, 16, has recorded 8 goals and 20 assists in 31 games with the Collège Charles-Lemoy Riverians of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League this season. The 5'8"ft, 164lbs, defenseman from Longueuil, QC, was drafted by the Screaming Eagles in the second round, 30th overall at the 2014 QMJHL Entry Draft.

Simard, 18, was acquired by Cape Breton at the mid-season trade period back in 2012-13 from the Val-d'Or Foruers, who drafted him in the fourth round of the 2012 QMJHL Entry Draft. In 147 career games with Val-d'Or and Cape Breton, the 6'00"ft, 185lbs, native of Iberville, QC, has recorded 11 goals and 33 assists.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League mid-season trade period closed today at 1 p.m. AST.
