Steelheads Trade Venuto to Spitfires

Mississauga Steelheads News Release
Mississauga, ON - The Mississauga Steelheads announced today that they have traded right winger Lucas Venuto to the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a sixth round pick in 2015.
The Mississauga native posted 13 points (nine goals, four assists) in 37 games with the Steelheads this season. Venuto joined the Steelheads in the 2012-13 season, signing as a free agent after spending time with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Over his three seasons in Mississauga, Venuto split time between the Steelheads and the Mississauga Chargers of the Ontario Junior Hockey League.
In three seasons, Venuto appeared in 69 regular season games for the Steelheads, recording 23 points (fourteen goals, nine assists) and added 3 points (two goals, one assist) in 10 career playoff games.
The Mississauga Steelheads would like to thank Lucas for his time and commitment to the organization and wish him all the best in his future hockey endeavours.
