Kamloops Blazers News Release

Kamloops, BC - The Kamloops Blazers have sent 18-year-old defenseman Connor Clouston to the Moose Jaw Warriors in exchange for a fifth round WHL Bantam Draft pick.

Clouston was selected by the Blazers in the third round of the 2011 WHL Bantam Draft. The Medicine Hat native played 81 career games with the Blazers and had a goal and four assists over the last two seasons with the Blazers.

The Blazers have also decided to keep 16-year-old defenseman Dawson Davidson for the remainder of the 2014-15 WHL season.

Davidson joined the Blazers as an affiliate player from the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Moose Jaw Generals after the Christmas break. In four games with the Blazers, the Moosomin, SK native scored twice for the hockey club.

"With Dawson's strong play after the Christmas break, he forced us to keep him for the rest of the season," commented General Manager, Craig Bonner. "With Michael Fora returning from the World Juniors and nine defensemen on the roster, we had to make a move on defense."
