Medicine Hat Tigers News Release
Medicine Hat, AB - The Tigers Skills Competition is back again this year! The event will be held Monday, January 19th at 7PM at the Arena and will once again be benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada. Tickets are only $5 and all the proceeds from ticket sales will be going directly to the MS Society. This year's event will be the fourth annual. Over the past three years the event has raised $13,317 for the MS Society. The skills competition was the brain child of a few former players who wanted to help raise funds to battle Multiple Sclerosis. The players felt very strongly about the cause as one of our former billets has been living with the disease for a number of years.
Not only did the event raise money for a great cause, fans were once again treated to some exciting action as Team Bredo needed a shootout tiebreaker to defeat Team Valk 16-15 in the most competitive Skills Competition yet.
The event featured a number of exciting highlights including Gavin Broadhead defending his fastest skater title, Tommy Vannelli hitting 99 MPH on the radar gun, Trevor Cox's nearly perfect score on his cowboy shootout, Cole Sanford going a perfect four for four on the accuracy targets and much more. You can check out all of the highlights for each event at the links below or read the full recap here. Fastest Skater
