67's Blank Wolves in Sudbury

The 67's earned a 7-0 win over the Wolves in Ontario Hockey League action in Sudbury Saturday night.

Seven different players scored for Ottawa, with three goals coming in the first period. Winger Jeremiah Addison scored the 67's first goal at the 5:50 mark with fellow wing-man Tyler Hill netting the second a little over a minute later off a Konecny pass. Captain Travis Konecny then managed Ottawa's last goal of the frame, beating Wolves goalie Troy Timpano almost 10 minutes in thanks to a little help from Erik Bradford.

Sudbury fought back in the second, holding Ottawa for a little over 14 minutes before centre Travis Barron found the back of the net for the 67's fourth of the night. The fifth came on Dante Salituro's goal a couple of minutes later earning Konecny his second assist of the game in the process.

The 67's added to their lead early in the third with winger Ben Fanjoy scoring Ottawa's sixth goal of the night. Then with just over five minutes left, centre Erik Bradford scored Ottawa's final goal of the game off a pass from Dante Salituro.

Ottawa netminder Leo Lazarev stopped all 22 shots he faced to earn his first shutout of the season.

The 67's visit Sault Ste. Marie tomorrow night to face the Greyhounds before returning to TD Place on Tuesday January 6th to welcome North Bay for a 7pm puck drop. An expanded food menu will be unveiled at the game with a wide range of selections priced at under $5.00.
