RailCats Acquire RHP Jessie Snodgrass in Three Way Trade

GARY, IN - The Gary SouthShore RailCats have traded pitcher Coleman Stephens to the Florence Freedom (Frontier League) and acquired pitcher Jessie Snodgrass from the Windy City Thunderbolts (Frontier League).
Snodgrass, a Lebanon, TN native, went 3-1 with a 2.61 ERA and 62 SO in 76 innings while leading the Thunderbolts in appearances (48). The right hander attended Belmont University (TN) where he played alongside current RailCats infielder Zac Mitchell and set the Ohio Valley Conference record with 44 appearances during the 2013 season.
Stephens went a combined 2-4 with a 6.22 ERA and 37 SO in 43 IP between the RailCats and the Amarillo Sox. Stephens was signed by the RailCats following an open tryout last offseason. He was traded to Amarillo on July 5, 2014, released by Amarillo on August 14, 2014, and re-signed by the RailCats on August 16, 2014.
The Thunderbolts received third baseman Jacob Tanis from the Freedom to complete the three way deal.
The RailCats will open up the 2015 season at home against the Quebec Capitales of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball on May 21, 2015 at 7:10pm.
