Providence Bruins Fall to Manchester Monarchs 3-2 in Overtime

MANCHESTER, N.H. - The puck dropped at 3:00pm at the Verizon Wireless Arena to start the P-Bruins second road game of the weekend.

The Providence Bruins came out strong in the first period with 10 shots on goal, doubling Manchester's 5 shots on goal. Rob Flick got the Providence Bruins on the board first at the 9:52 mark with the assist going to Justin Florek.

The Manchester Monarchs went into the second period trailing the P-Bruins and eager to get on the board. O'Brien tied up the score for Manchester 8:07 into the second. Despite not being able to capitlize on any opportunities, the Providence Bruins still out-shot the Monarchs 16-12 in the second period.

With the score tied at one, the Providence Bruins and the Monarchs entered the third battling for the lead. Backman broke the tie at the 9:05 mark. Flick got his second goal of the night to tie the score at 2 at the 10:55 mark with the assists going to Youds and Asuchak.

After three periods of the play and the score still tied at 2, the Providence Bruins and the Manchester Monarchs went into overtime. 2:15 into overtime, Ebert scored for the Monarchs breaking the tie. The Providence Bruins fell to the Manchester Monarchs 3-2.
