Admirals Release Goaltender Yann Danis

NORFOLK, Va. - The Norfolk Admirals announced that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has released goaltender Yann Danis from his Professional Tryout Contract (PTO).
Danis, 33, started between the pipes for a total of 11 games with the Admirals since being signed to a PTO back on November 10. He recorded a goals-against average (GAA) of 2.72 and save percentage (SV%) of .914. The veteran registered a record of 5-6-0-0 during his time in Norfolk as well as leading the team with two shutouts.
The Admirals return to Scope ice on Friday evening to host the Bridgeport Sound Tigers. Face-off is slated for 7:30 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the Scope Box Office, any Ticketmaster outlet, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-800-745-3000.
