(Edmonton) - The Edmonton Eskimo Football Club announces the contract extensions of national defensive back Ryan Hinds, national linebacker Nathan Kanya and national wide receiver Paris Jackson.
Hinds originally signed as a free agent on Aug. 28, 2013. A six-year Canadian Football League veteran, he recorded 93 career defensive tackles, 14 special teams tackles and two interceptions.
Kanya is a four-year CFL veteran who spent the last two seasons in Edmonton after being traded from Hamilton on Feb. 5, 2013. The UBC alumnus recorded 42 career special teams tackles and three defensive tackles.
Jackson joined the Green and Gold as a free agent Sept. 29, 2014. The native of Vancouver, BC, recorded 433 career receptions for 5,859 yards and 31 touchdowns in 12 seasons. Jackson was named a CFL West Division All Star in 2008 and is a two-time Grey Cup champion (2006, 2011).
