Lethbridge, AB - The Lethbridge Hurricanes have trimmed their roster to 24 after releasing Forward Nikita Milekhin.

Milekhin was drafted by the Hurricanes 3rd overall in this year's CHL Import Draft. The 1997-born winger played for Moscow Dynamo prior to joining the Hurricanes where he registered 21 points, including 13 goals. In 16 games with the Hurricanes, Milekhin had 4 points (1G, 3A), was a minus-6 plus/minus rating and had 2 PIM's. Milekhin will be returning home to Krasnogorsk, Russia this week.

With this move, the Hurricanes roster is now down to 24 with 2 goalies, 8 defencemen and 14 forwards.

UPCOMING GAMES:

The Hurricanes are back in action tonight when they play the Regina Pats to close out their schedule ahead of the Christmas break. Tonight's game is at 6:00pm MST with the pregame show with Dustin Forbes on Rock 106 starting at 5:45.

The Hurricanes next home game is Saturday, December 27th at 7:00pm when they host the Medicine Hat Tigers. Tickets are available by calling (403) 329-7328.
