Lumberjacks Announce 2014 Teddy Bear Toss Game Results

MUSKEGON, Michigan (December 17th) - The Muskegon Lumberjacks are happy to announce that the organization collected over 500 stuffed animals during the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game in partnership with "Read Early. Read Often." on Saturday, December 6th against the USNTDP Under-17 Team in which the Lumberjacks came away with a 4-2 victory.

When the Lumberjacks scored their first goal of the evening, which was netted on the power play by Matej Paulovic with 3.9 seconds left in the first period, fans tossed their stuffed animals onto the ice surface that were collected by the organization's front office staff to be donated to Local Head Start programs.

On Wednesday, December 10th and Thursday, December 11th, select Lumberjacks players visited Oakridge, Orchard View, and Ravenna Head Start schools to deliver stuffed animals and read a short Christmas story to the children. Tommy Marchin and Matheson Iacopelli visited Oakridge and Orchard View on Wednesday, while Steven Merl and Keegan Ward stopped by Orchard View and Ravenna on Thursday.
