Syracuse Crunch News Release

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch have signed center Kevin Lynch to an American Hockey League contract, general manager Julien BriseBois announced today. Lynch has been loaned to the ECHL's Florida Everblades.

Lynch, 23, has one goal in 10 games for the Crunch since signing a professional tryout contact with Syracuse Nov. 12. He made his AHL debut Nov. 12 at Albany and was plus-1 with one shot. He scored his first AHL goal two days later, the game-winning goal, in a 5-1 victory against Hershey.

In nine games with Florida to begin the season, Lynch has six points (1g, 5a). The 6-foot-1, 205-pound forward joined Florida this season after totaling 35 points in 63 ECHL games between the Toledo Walleye and the Evansville Icemen in 2013-14.

Lynch appeared in 168 games over four years at the University of Michigan totaling 72 points (35g, 37a). The Grosse Pointe, Michigan native was a second-round selection, 56th overall, of the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The Crunch visit Rochester Wednesday and Hartford Friday before a 7 p.m. home game Saturday against Albany.

Single game and season tickets are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473-4444.
