Chicago Wolves News Release

SCHOOL'S OUT

The Chicago Wolves snapped out of their scoring slump with a six-goal outburst on Tuesday --- their lone game last week --- while skating to a 6-2 victory. The win broke a season-high three-game winless streak and the team will look to keep the momentum going as they return to Allstate Arena for the first home games of December. This week's slate includes the first of two School-Day Games this season as Chicago hosts Adirondack on Wednesday. The Wolves are 11-2-0-0 all-time in morning games and 7-1-0-0 on home ice since playing their first School-Day contest in 2009-10.

WOLVES HEADLINERS

More than halfway to his 2013-14 season totals (15+14=29), which he achieved in 42 games

--- JORDAN BINNINGTON: Kicked out 28 of 30 shots to capture his first win since returning from an emergency stint in St. Louis (NHL) ... Ranks sixth in the league with a 1.92 goals-against average, third among rookie netminders ... Off to the best start by a Wolves rookie netminder since Ondrej Pavelec (8-3-0-0 in first 11) in 2007-08, but posting a better GAA (3.43) and SV% (.887) than Pavelec in that stretch

--- PAT CANNONE: Contributed two points (G, A) in Tuesday's win, rounding out scoring and dishing out a helper on TY RATTIE'S game-tying goal ... WOLF TRACKS

--- Six skaters (TY RATTIE, DMITRIJ JASKIN, PAT CANNONE, TERRY BROADHURST, JEREMY WELSH, and MATHIEU BRODEUR) recorded multiple-point outings on Tuesday, tied for the highest number of players to do so in a game this season. The first time was the team's 7-4 win Nov. 15 at Rochester.

--- The Wolves converted three of their six power-play opportunities on Tuesday, the seventh time this season that they have registered multiple man-advantage markers in a game. Chicago's power play ranks sixth in the league at 19.7 percent (23-for-117) and is more than halfway to the 2013-14 squad's total PPGs for the season (43) in approximately one-third of the games.

--- Chicago has been the most road-weary team in the AHL to start the season, playing a league-leading 17 of its first 26 games on enemy ice and compiling a .500 record (8-8-1-0). On the other end of the spectrum, they are the only team to have played single digits (9) at home thus far but have enjoyed a 6-1-2-0 record at Allstate Arena.

--- The Wolves are one of five teams to have two goaltenders in the top 20 for goals-against average, joining Hershey, Rockford, Utica, and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. JORDAN BINNINGTON and MATT CLIMIE rank sixth and 20th, respectively.

--- Defenseman JAKE CHELIOS registered a power-play assist on DMITRIJ JASKIN's goal Tuesday, giving him seven man-advantage assists this season, good for third among league rookies.

--- The Wolves rank third in the circuit in goal differential, holding a +16 marker behind Rockford and Manchester's +23. Chicago's goal differential breaks down to a +11 at home and +5 on the road, despite three of the team's four highest goal outputs this season coming on the road.

--- Defenseman JANI HAKANPAA recorded his first goal of the season Tuesday. Of the blueliner's six career AHL markers, three have been game-winning goals and three have come in the state of Texas.
