EVANSVILLE, Ind.- Here's what's happening with the Evansville IceMen, presented by Coors Light.

This Week's Games (Wednesday Dec. 17 vs. Elmira 7:15 p.m., Friday, Dec. 19 vs. Reading Saturday, Dec. 20 vs. Reading 7:15 p.m, Sunday Dec. 21 at Fort Wayne.

The IceMen will continue their six-game home stand as they host the Elmira Jackals on Wednesday, Dec. 17th at the Ford Center. College and high school students can celebrate the start of holiday break with $13 goal zone tickets with their student IDs.

Plus these students can visit the sales table and enter a drawing to win great prizes and gift certificates. Puck drop is set for 7:15 p.m as the IceMen and Jackals wrap up their season series.

Wednesday will also be another Wet Your Whistle Wednesday at Backstage Bar & Grill. Bring your IceMen ticket to Back Stage for free cover and $1 Coors Light draughts before and after the game.

Friday night's game will be donation night. Fans are encouraged to bring coats, food and other items to give to those less fortunate during this holiday season.

Celebrate Christmas with the IceMen on Saturday. Evansville will wear a specialty "Ugly Christmas Sweater Jersey" that will auctioned off after the game. The first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a free Christmas stocking to hang by the fireplace.

The IceMen will wrap up a busy week with a trip to Fort Wayne on Sunday. The puck will drop at 4 p.m. Watch the game live at Bar Louie, the official watch party destination of the Evansville IceMen.

Coors Light Cold Hard Facts

- Evansville is 7-2-0-1 when scoring 3 or more goals.

-The IceMen are 8-1-2-1 when holding opponents to 3 goals or less.

-The IceMen are 12-13-3-2 all-time in December ECHL games. They went 7-3-2 in December 2013.

-Evansville has been successful on 27 of its last 30 penalty kills. That's a 90% success rate dating back to Nov. 23.

- Evansville's Chris Driedger is tied for the league lead with two shutouts. Driedger is also tied for the franchise record in shutouts.

League Leaders and Milestone Watch

-The IceMen have committed the least amount of minor penalties in the ECHL with 74.

-Kevin Harvey ranks third in the ECHL in major penalties with eight.

Milestones

-Kevin Harvey is 5 assists away from 100 for his pro career.

-Donnie Harris is five games played away from 6th place on the IceMen's all time record book. Harris is currently seventh with 103 gamesin an IceMen uniform.

IceMen in the Community

IceMen Live Monday, Dec. 8 from 6-8 p.m. at Beef O' Brady's

Catch another exciting episode of IceMen Live at Beef O'Brady's on Monday night from 6-8 p.m. interviews will include Defenseman Zack Currie, Forwards Andre Bouvet-Morrissette, and Danny Hobbs. Additionally, Mullins, Morrissette, and Hobbs will answer questions from the fans.

Late in the first period, the IceMen claimed the lead. In his IceMen debut, Colin Murray knocked the puck free in the offensive zone to Kale Kerbashian. The IceMen's leader in points carried the puck behind the net. Kebashian then passed it to a hard charging Peter Sakaris who smacked it past Pat Nagle to give the IceMen a 1-0 lead with under four minutes to play in the first.

However, with under a minute to go in the first period, Fort Wayne's Shawn Szydlowski scored on a breakaway to tie the game at one heading into the first intermission. The Komets netted two second period goals to push their lead to 3-1.

In the final frame, Danny Hobbs potted a power play goal to bring the IceMen back within one. Fort Wayne responded just 15 seconds later with a Thomas Frazee goal to clinch a 4-2 win.

Saturday, Dec. 13 Vs. Fort Wayne L 2-1

Patrick Kennedy gave the IceMen a 1-0 when he scored on a give-and-go with Brandon Wong. Kennedy's goal also brought a wave of teddy bears to the ice on Teddy Bear Toss Night. Fort Wayne tied it up just four minutes later when Eric Faille scored on a breakaway. The two teams remained knotted up until overtime when Szydlowski put in the puck on a two-on-one breakaway.
