Providence Bruins Defeat Manchester Monarchs, 4-2

PROVIDENCE, R. I. -The Providence Bruins took on the Manchester Monarchs for the first time on home ice this season today at 3:05 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

The Providence Bruins were neck in neck with the Monarchs through the first period. Gravel scored for the Monarchs 3:37 seconds into the period. Then, 16:27 minutes in Pastrnak answered the Monarchs goal with the assists going to Warsofsky and Khokhlachev.

Both teams went into the second eager to break the 1-1 tie. Manchester got on the board again first, thanks to a goal from O'Neill at the 16:25 mark. About two minutes later, Werek tied the score at two for the Bruins with the helpers going to Cross and Eminger.

Going into the third, the P-Bruins were ready to break the tied game. They dominated the period, getting two more goals on the board. The first goal was Pastrnak's second of the night which was followed up Werek's second of the night at the 13:22 mark. The Providence Bruins defeated the Manchester Monarchs 4-2.
