DULUTH, Ga. - The Gladiators (7-12-1-0) jump back into action today at The Arena at Gwinnett Center, a night after their 4-2 loss to Cincinnati in front of their largest home crowd this season - 7,535. Despite falling into a 4-0 hole after the first 20:20 of the game, the Gladiators swung back hard against the Cyclones, outshooting the visitors 26-to-9 in the final forty minutes. Gwinnett had a season-high 17 shots in the final period and struck for two goals in the third, but couldn't overcome the deficit.

Today they'll face a revamped South Carolina Stingrays (11-10-0-4) team that has won seven of their last ten games. Gwinnett has already faced the team five times this season, going 2-2-1 against them. The two will play another 10 times following this afternoon's match.

Glads Notes:

Pushing the Pace: Prior to December, the Gladiators had outshot their opponent only twice in 17 games played - on November 2nd against Toledo (38-to-30) and November 8th against Florida (27-to-21). In the three games since Andy Brandt has taken over the team, the Gladiators have outshot their opponents two more times, on December 10th against Kalamazoo (33-to-32), and last night against Cincinnati (29-to-22). The last two games have been pushed by frantic third periods, where Gwinnett outshot their opponents 15-to-6, and 17-to-5, respectively.
