DULUTH, Ga. - The Portland Pirates, AHL affiliate of the Gladiators, announced that they have assigned goaltender Mike Lee to Gwinnett on Friday.
Lee, 24, has played in 29 games with the Gladiators over the last two seasons, posting a 15-12-1 record, a 2.30 goals against average and a .913 save percentage with two shutouts. Lee's last game with the Gladiators was on November 11, 2013, when he stopped 29 of the 30 shots he faced against the Greenville Road Warriors in a 3-1 win for Gwinnett in Greenville.
A third round (91st overall) draft selection of the Arizona Coyotes in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Lee has played in 21 games with the Pirates. In the AHL, he has a 9-8-1 record, a 2.95 GAA, and a .907 SV%. The Roseau, Minn. native has not played a game since December 6, 2013 due to injury.

Lee will be available to the Gladiators beginning with this weekend's Sing for Santa Weekend at The Arena at Gwinnett Center.
