Quotes

"It's obviously tough to come in here and steal two points from them. I thought they came hard at us early on but we handled it well. At the end they threw the kitchen sink at us and our guys sort of, 'rope-a-doped' hung in there and Kent [Simpson] was good." -Coach Kromm on the 4-2 win vs. Colorado

"They played solid. They played pretty aggressively and I thought we handled it well all night long. I think the thing we need to start doing a little more of is getting pucks deep and getting more to the goaltender. We did that early but like I said, at the end they were pushing hard and sending guys so it changes the complexion of the game a bit." -Coach Kromm on the play of his defenseman

"Alex [Mallet] was actually a centerman in junior. He was the one guy I knew that if we needed a center, I could play him in that spot. I thought he did a good job there for us; their line (Mallet, MacLellan, Collberg) was going good but we needed him in the middle and he did a heck of a job for us." -Coach Kromm on moving Alex Mallet to center after Sutter's injury

"My linemates have given me a lot of confidence lately. I just whacked that one in but earlier in the game I thought we had a number of good chances and towards the end of the game we were on our heels a little bit. Since Mallet got to the team and since Collberg came to us, I've had so much more space to work with. That's been really fun!" -Jack MacLellan on his six-game point streak

"Collberg gave me the puck around center ice and I came in one-on-one with the guy and I just whiffed on my shot at the top of the circle. The puck was sitting at our feet and both of us tried whacking at it. I noticed I was close to the goalie so I tried going toward net and I'm not really sure how it went through the goalie. A bit of a lucky bounce but I'll take it." -Jack MacLellan on his tying goal

"It's pretty exciting. It's a big record but at the same time we're on a big road trip and I'm just doing what I can to help the team win." -Ryan Constant on approaching the all-time record

"I think we're playing some good team hockey and we have to take care of our own end first and the offense will follow." -Ryan Constant on the Thunder's two-game win streak

"It was my Grandpa's birthday yesterday so I wanted to get him a birthday goal. I had my chance when [Brad] Stebner made a really great play up the boards to start me on the two-on-one and I remembered a couple games ago I had a two-on-one and that I wished I had shot, so I came down and shot it far side and beat the goalie." -Garet Hunt on his second goal of the season

"This is one of the toughest places to play. Their fans are right on top of you and they're a good team. To come out and battle to hold the lead in the third, we need to win games like that to build our morale as a team. I thought [Kent Simpson] stood on his head and guys are buying into what Coach Kromm talks to us about. We gotta' ride high tonight for two hours but then we come back focused on Friday. We have to take it one game at a time, five minutes at a time, and not focus on our record in order to improve it." -Garet Hunt on the importance of a win in game one of four against the Eagles
