Chicago Fire Academy Players Named to United States Under-18 Men's National Team Training Camp Roste

CHICAGO (Dec. 10, 2014) - Chicago Fire Academy midfielders Collin Fernandez, Cameron Lindley and defender Mauricio Pineda have been named to the 20-man roster by U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team head coach Javier Perez to take part in the training camp in Marbella, Spain from Dec. 11-20. During the 10-day camp, the U-18s will face the German U-18 squad on Dec. 17 and 19.

This is the U-18's fourth international trip this year. Fernandez, Lindley and Pineda participated in the U-18 International Tournament in Lisbon, Portugal in June and the Vaclav Jezek International Tournament in the Czech Republic in August.

Fernandez signed a Homegrown contract on Aug. 28, becoming the fifth Homegrown player in Fire history. Fernandez will be officially added to the Fire roster on Jan. 1, 2015.

The Fire Academy lead the way with the most players selected to the roster with three.
