Corey Mace Leads Second Annual Turkey Drive

December 9, 2014 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Calgary Stampeders News Release

For a second holiday season in a row, Calgary Stampeders defensive lineman Corey Mace is spearheading a turkey and ham drive to help families in need.

"As I said when I started this program last year, no Christmas is complete without a turkey or ham dinner," said Mace. "This season is all about families sharing good times and good food but unfortunately, some don't have the fortune of having a turkey dinner."

Anyone wishing to contribute a turkey or ham can make a donation at the Stampeders Administration Office located on the southwest corner of McMahon Stadium. The office is open from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

On Friday, Mace will be appearing at the West Springs Centre location of Calgary Co-op (100-917 85th St. SW) from 5 to 7 p.m. to sign autographs and accept turkey and ham donations.

The turkeys and hams will be accepted until Monday, Dec. 15. The following day, Mace will personally be delivering the donated items to the Airdrie Food Bank, Enviros Wilderness School Association and CUPS. This year's goal is to collect 200 turkeys and hams.
