COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (Monday, December 08, 2014) - The Colorado Rapids have today traded goalkeeper Joe Nasco and their 2015 Natural 3rd Round Super Draft pick to New England Revolution, in exchange for Dimitry Imbongo, Geoffrey Castillion and their 2015 Natural 2nd Round SuperDraft pick.

"We'd like to thank Joe for the time he spent with the Rapids," said VP of Soccer Operations and Technical Director, Paul Bravo. "His time here coincided with a period where we are strong in the goalkeeping position, and we wish him the best going forward."

Nasco was signed by the Rapids in February of 2014, and then spent some time back at his former club Atlanta Silverbacks from mid-July. He made his MLS debut in a 1-0 loss at Seattle Sounders on August 30, and would go on to make four starts for the club. His last appearance was during the 1-1 home tie with San Jose Earthquakes on September 27.

The 30-year-old left the sport due to injury in 2008 and became a police officer for the Gordon County Sheriff's Department in Calhoun, GA, before catching the eye of the Silverbacks in an open tryout.

The contract options for both Imbongo and Castillion have not been exercised.
