SYRACUSE, New York - The Syracuse Silver Knights (1-3, Eastern Division #4) rallied to tie the game 6-6 in the second half before falling to the Detroit Waza Flo (3-4, Eastern Division #3) 8-6 at the Melvindale Civic Arena.
Neto evened it 6-6 with 7:57 to go in the fourth quarter.
Domenico Vitale helped the Syracuse rally, equalizing the match 5-5 with 12:56 left in the fourth frame. The 2014 SSK Rookie of the Year finished on a rebound in front.
The Waza Flo began the night on the right foot, opening the fixture with a 2-0 lead, on goals from Worteh Sampson and Miki Djerisilo. Detroit never earned an advantage greater than two goals in the single point system at the Civic Center.
Marcos Chantel and Darren Toby found themselves on the scoresheet, tallying their firsts of the year.
The win was Detroit's first against an old MISL opponent.
