THE SERIES: It's the third and fourth meetings of the season between these two long time Texas rivals the Amarillo Bulls and the Odessa Jackalopes. The Bulls swept the first two meetings on home ice 2-1 and 6-1 with forward Cody Gylling and defenseman Kasper Emanuelsson each contributing four points.
BULLS NOTES: Defenseman Jesper Synellius has collected five assists in his last four games to lead the charge for Amarillo. Five of the seven Bulls wins this season have come when they have led after 40 minutes of play. The Bulls were 2-7-0 during the month of November with both coming against the Jackalopes. Cody Gylling led the Bulls charge in the month with five goals and one assist for six points. Defenseman Kasper Emanuelsson and Jesper Synellius have combined for nine assists.
JACK CHIPS: The second period has been the most productive for the Odessa Jackalopes this season. The team has netted 24 goals while allowing just 25. Of the 24 goals scored in their last 10 games, seven Jackaopes' players have scored two goals or more. Goaltender Robin Johansson is among the leaders in the North American Hockey League in saves and minutes played.
ACROSS THE SOUTH: It's a busy weekend for teams in the South Division with everyone except for the Topeka RoadRunners seeing action. The Corpus Christi IceRays are in East Texas to face the Wichita Falls Wildcats. The Lone Star Brahmas are back on home ice to host the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees. The Wenatchee Wild which have won six of their last 10 games host their natural rivals the Fairbanks Ice Dogs.
