Cape Breton Eagles News Release
Sydney - The Cape Breton Screaming Eagles announced today that they have acquired 20-year-old right winger Marcus Hinds from the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada in exchange for a 2015 fourth round draft pick (acquired from Drummondville).
Hinds, a 6'2", 205lb native of Toronto, Ontario, was a third year player with the Armada and recorded 27 goals, 32 assists, and 38 penalty minutes in 139 career games. He was an invitee to the Montreal Canadians 2013 training camp.
To make room for Hinds, the Screaming Eagles have removed 20-year-old forward Cameron Darcy from their roster. Darcy was the Screaming Eagles leading scorer last season with 35 goals and 47 assists in 65 games. This season he has recorded 1 goal and 13 assists in 19 games.
Hinds will be in the lineup when the Screaming Eagles host the Val-d'Or Foreurs Friday night at Centre 200.
